What we do
Construction dust isn’t normal dust
Post-construction cleaning is different from any other cleaning category. Construction dust isn’t normal dust — it’s drywall powder, sawdust, paint residue, joint compound, and adhesive particles that work their way into every surface, vent, and crack in the building. It settles for days after the work is done.
We clean post-construction projects across three phases that follow the construction timeline. The result is a space that’s genuinely ready for the homeowner to move in, the tenant to occupy, or the final inspector to sign off on. Not “clean enough” — actually clean.

How we approach it
Three phases that match construction reality
Most cleaning vendors treat post-construction as a single visit at the end of the job. The result is usually inadequate because construction dust continues to settle for days after work finishes.
Rough clean
For larger projects, we can come in during construction between major phases — typically after framing and rough mechanical work, before drywall begins. Debris removal, sweep, and reset so the next phase doesn’t start on top of accumulated mess. Not always necessary; often valuable for projects running 2+ months.
Final clean
Everything gets cleaned — surfaces, fixtures, appliances, cabinets, windows (interior), floors, and HVAC vents and returns. Paint splatters, adhesive residue, joint compound, and fine dust removed from every surface. Light fixtures, switches, outlets, and trim cleaned. Bathrooms and kitchens given extra attention.
Touch-up clean
The phase most cleaning vendors skip. Construction dust continues to settle for days after the final clean — even in a sealed building. The touch-up phase is a lighter return visit dusting horizontal surfaces, wiping fixtures, and re-cleaning floors. This is what separates “professionally cleaned” from “clean for the first 48 hours.”
Pricing
What it costs, roughly
Post-construction pricing varies based on project size, scope, and which phases you need. Here’s what to expect:
Phase 2 (final clean): From $0.45/sq ft for residential, $0.55-0.85/sq ft for commercial depending on complexity. A 2,500 sq ft home typically runs $1,125-$1,400.
Phase 3 (touch-up): Typically 30-40% of the Phase 2 rate. A $1,125 Phase 2 clean would have a Phase 3 follow-up around $350-$450.
Phase 1 (mid-project rough clean): Quoted per visit based on scope. Typically $400-$800 per visit for residential projects.
The full three-phase approach: for a 2,500 sq ft home: roughly $1,400-$1,900 total. For larger projects (5,000+ sq ft) or commercial buildouts, all three phases together can run $3,000-$8,000+.
We do all three phases
Most cleaning vendors skip Phase 3 because it’s lower margin. That’s exactly why your space looks dusty again two weeks after the “professional cleaning.”
HEPA-equipped vacuums
Standard vacuums redistribute fine construction dust through the air. HEPA filtration captures it.
Deadline-driven scheduling
We understand construction deadlines. If your closing date is Tuesday and your contractor finishes Friday, we work the weekend.
Experienced people, not entry-level
Post-construction cleaning isn’t beginner work. Every crew member assigned to a post-construction project brings at least five years of professional cleaning experience.
Honest about what we don’t do
We don’t do HVAC duct cleaning (separate specialty). We don’t handle hazmat or regulated waste. We do everything else thoroughly.
Do we have to do all three phases?
No. Many smaller projects only need Phase 2 (final clean). For projects under 1,500 sq ft or shorter renovation timelines (under 3 weeks), one good final clean is often enough. For larger projects, new construction, and any commercial buildout, all three phases are recommended.
When should I book post-construction cleaning?
As early as possible. For larger projects, we book Phase 2 walk-throughs 2-4 weeks ahead so we can be ready when construction finishes. For smaller residential projects, we can typically respond within 5-7 business days.
What if my contractor said they’d clean the space?
Some contractors include a “broom clean” or basic cleanup in their contracts. This is not the same as post-construction cleaning. Broom clean removes visible debris; post-construction cleaning addresses fine dust, residue, and the surfaces that need actual cleaning.
Do you clean the HVAC system?
We clean accessible HVAC vents and returns (registers, grilles, exterior surfaces). Full duct cleaning — actually cleaning inside the ductwork — requires specialized equipment and is a separate service category. We can refer a duct cleaning vendor if needed.
What about exterior windows or facade cleaning?
Interior windows: yes, as standard scope. Ground-level exterior windows: yes. Second-story and above exterior windows: outside our scope — we recommend a dedicated window cleaning vendor.
Can you coordinate with our contractor?
Yes. For larger projects, we typically attend a walk-through with the general contractor near the end of construction to align on timing, access, and final punch-list items.
Do you provide post-construction cleaning for commercial buildouts?
Yes. Office buildouts, retail buildouts, restaurant new construction, and tenant improvement projects are all within our scope. Pricing varies by complexity.
